The seamless joint of the edge conveyor belt is usually a hot sulfur (chemical symbol: S) joint. The high angle corrugated edge conveyor belt consists of three parts: the base belt, the edge, and the transverse partition. The blocking edge plays a role in preventing materials from slipping and falling. A conveyor belt is a composite product of rubber, fiber, metal, or plastic (structure: synthetic resin, plasticizer, stabilizer, colorant) and fabric used for carrying and transporting materials in belt edge conveyor belts.
Hot sulfurization (chemical symbol: S) joint process:
1. Surface treatment (ch ǔ l ǐ): Make the joint of the edge conveyor belt into a slanted stepped joint with a lap length of 1/2 of the belt width, then roughen the surface of the joint, and clean, remove dirt, and dry it with a cleaning agent. The temperature of the material being fed to the support roller is generally less than 60 ℃. The length and assembly form of the machine can be determined according to user requirements, and the transmission can be either an electric drum or a drive device with a drive frame.
2. Coating with adhesive paste: Apply one to two coats of vulcanized adhesive paste evenly (j ū n y ú n) on the surface of the joint and sulfurized film (chemical symbol: S). Wait for the solution to evaporate until the rubber surface is basically dry, then attach the vulcanized film to the surface of the joint coated with vulcanized adhesive paste. Apply a buffer strip at the gap between the same cloth layer. If the adhesive is not completely dried, bubbles will be generated, resulting in a decrease in adhesion performance.
3. Bonding pressure: After the adhesive solvent evaporates until the adhesive surface is basically dry, bond the two ends together. Circular edge conveyor belt refers to a flat edge conveyor belt that, due to environmental or condition limitations, undergoes vulcanization joints on both sides of the film after production. The joints are aligned in steps and the centerline is aligned. After bonding, roll thoroughly to prevent the accumulation of bubbles, and heat the two pieces. When applying pressure, be careful not to make the joint misaligned, and the pressure should be uniform.
4. Heating vulcanization: Install the vulcanization device. Mining edge conveyor belts are mainly used for coal transportation in coal mines, as well as for material transportation in industries such as metallurgy, chemical engineering, power plants, and ports. This machine has a large capacity and high efficiency. Heat up and pressurize, when heated. When the temperature reaches 80 ℃, it is required to reach a pressure of 1.0-2.0MPa, then stop pressurizing and continue heating. When the temperature rises to 145 ℃, start timing and maintain a constant temperature between 145 ℃ and 150 ℃. After 45 minutes, immediately stop heating and let it cool naturally to room temperature.
5. Repair. After the joint returns to room temperature, remove and heat it to make the surface of the joint flat, smooth, and clean. The temperature of the material being fed to the support roller is generally less than 60 ℃.
